Ghanaian blogger, Bessa GH, has shared details about the trip that led to the tragic death of TikToker and nurse, Abena Jen.

Young Ghanaian nurse and TikTok creator, Abena Jennifer, reportedly passed away in an accident on the Cape Coast-Accra Highway.

The tragic crash occurred on Wakrom near Yamoransa on Monday, September 15, 2025.

According to reports, a DAF truck loaded with 70 bags of rice ran head-on into a Toyota HiAce passenger vehicle, leaving five people dead and at least 12 people injured.

The injured were rushed to the Biriwa Polyclinic, where one person is reported to be in critical condition.

Friends of the late nurse took to social media to mourn her, remembering her as a vibrant and fun person to be around.

Blogger shares details about Abena Jen’s death

In a video seen by YEN.com.gh on TikTok, blogger Bessa GH shared more details about what caused the nurse’s death.

Earlier reports claimed that she was headed to Accra for her national service, which he confirmed as true.

Bessa GH also said Abena was headed to Accra to meet with officers of the Ghana Police Service.

He stated that she had rented a home which her landlord had also rented out to others, causing a dispute which she reported to police.

“She stayed with her parents in Nzema but because of her upcoming National service, she was travelling to Accra to do a follow-up on some arrangements. She had rented a room in Accra and paid for it, but it turned out her landlord had rented to many other people, so Jennifer reported him to the police. So she was coming to Accra to meet with the police and also to get some documents she needed signed."

Second nurse reported dead in Yamoransa crash

Previously, YEN.com.gh reported that Christabel Turkson, another nurse, reportedly died in the accident that took Abena Jen's life.

According to reports, Turkson was a rotational nurse who was returning home to Saltpond after a trip to Takoradi when the tragedy occurred.
