A disturbing video has sparked widespread concern after some students, believed to be newly graduated Senior High School (SHS) learners, were spotted travelling in an overloaded minibus.

A video spotted by YEN.com.gh depicted the commercial vehicle not only packed with students but also with their luggage, such as suitcases, brazenly perched on top.
The vehicle was believed to be en route to various destinations following the completion of the West African Senior School Certification Examination (WASSCE).
Minibus overloaded with luggage and students
The video, which has quickly gone viral, shows a white Hyundai minibus with an unstable mound of bags, boxes, and other items piled high on its roof, far exceeding safe loading limits.
In the video, a few individuals were visibly near the vehicle, possibly assisting with the loading and preparing for departure. Along with the sheer volume of luggage, some students could be seen seated on the bus.
The end of WASSCE for seniors often leads to a period of transition as students head home. However, this video showed a dangerous practice that compromises students' safety during this vulnerable time.
The overloading of public transport vehicles is a recurring issue in Ghana, contributing to a high rate of road accidents, which claim approximately 2,000 lives annually, as reported by local authorities.

Deaf UEW student dies in ghastly accident
Earlier, YEN.com.gh reported that a deaf UEW Level 200 student, Gloria Afidemenyo, perished in a tragic car accident near Peki.
The mini-bus transporting students from campus to Kpando and Hohoe overturned after suffering a flat tyre.
The injured students were rushed to the Peki Government Hospital, where they received medical treatment.
