It was during this period that the California business coach started thinking about her sexuality and it dawned on her that she was a gay.
“I had the dream husband, house, dog and career but I started to realize something wasn’t right,” she stated.
Lauren adds that she initially thought the stress was due to working long hours, but then she “saw people on social media talking openly about their sexuality and something started to twig.”
She decided to travel around the country in her van for a couple of weeks and it clicked that she was actually gay.
Started in college
Lauren recalled having romantic experiments with fellow women while still in college but didn’t give it much of a thought.
It is only when COVID-19 hit and she started slipping into depression that she decided to seek marriage counseling together with her husband.

Lauren adds that telling Matt about the change of things was really hard and felt selfish at the time but he was supportive.

"Now I’m living my dream life traveling the world,” said Lauren, who maintains that her ex-husband is an “amazing person” and she still cares for him.
According to Lauren, it has not been easy as she initially thought she was living the life of her dreams but now she really is.
