President John Mahama to Hold First Media Encounter: "Accounting to the People"

President John Dramani Mahama is set to hold his maiden media encounter in his second stint as the Head of State of the Republic of Ghana

In a statement issued by Felix Kwakye Ofosu, the Spokesperson for the president and Minister of State in Charge of Government Communications, Mr Mahama will engage the Ghanaian press on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at the Jubilee House.

According to Felix, who is also the Member of Parliament for Abura-Asebu-Kwamankese, the media encounter will offer President Mahama a unique platform to address Ghanaians on pressing national issues.

"The encounter will provide a unique platform for President Mahama to engage the Ghanaian people, through the media, on pressing national issues, his Resetting Agenda, policies and ongoing projects," portions of the statement read.
"It will also offer an opportunity for journalists to pose questions directly to the President on a wide range of subjects affecting the nation," the statement further added.

Ghanaians keenly anticipate President Mahama's media encounter

Ghanaians on social media appeared to be keenly anticipating President Mahama's advertised encounter with the media, with many filing their questions ahead of time.

President Mahama, Bawumia walk side-by-side like brothers

Meanwhile, YEN.com.gh reported earlier that President John Dramani Mahama and former Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, were captured walking together while chatting happily with each other.

The two Ghanaian statesmen met at the final funeral rites of Sheikh Ali Akwatima, a Muslim cleric, on Saturday, September 6, 2025.
