- Man United stunned Spurs 1-0 in a tough Premier League tie played at Wembley
- David De Gea emerged man of the match following his heroic saves during the clash
- Rashford netted the solitary goal that gifted the visitors the crucial victory
- Watford goalkeeper Ben Foster has since praised De Gea's goalkeeping skills
Manchester United on Sunday evening, January 13, produced a solid performance as they blanked Tottenham Hotspurs 1-0 at Wembley stadium to continue with their fine form under caretaker manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Star forward Marcus Rashford scored the solitary goal just moments before the break to gift his side a crucial victory that took them on level with Arsenal on points.
However, it was David De Gea's stunning performance that stood out among all the players in the pitch as the Spaniard produced incredible saves to put United in the game.
Statistically, De Gea denied Spurs a staggering eleven golden goalscoring chances in the second half, making superb saves to deny the likes of Harry Kane, Dele Alli and Toby Alderweireld.
His outstanding performance between the sticks saw football fans, pundits and even rival players take to social media to praise the shot-stopper.
Watford keeper, Ben Foster, was among the unlikely Premier League players who lauded De Gea's performance, acknowledging the Spaniard's exceptional goalkeeping skills.
"I see a lot of people saying all De Gea saves were straight at him, please factor in that the guy has some mad sense to know where to be at just the right time, you can’t teach that. Proper goally," Foster, who played 23 games for United posted on Twitter.
Meanwhile, a moment caught on camera by Sky Sports after the game nearly summed up what fans thought of De Gea's performance as Juan Mata was seen in complete disbelief.
