5 top football stars bearing popular female names
In this world, certain names are solely meant for a particular gender.
In Ghana, it is weird to find a male bearing a female name. But in some parts of the world it is normal.
However, when it comes to football there are some top football stars bearing popular female first names.

YEN.com.gh has put together seven footballers who bear female first names:
1. Richonell Magaret
The 18-year-old is a Dutch football player who plays as a forward for SBV Vitesse. He has also played for AFC Jax.
2. Vurnon Anita
Vurnon is a Dutch footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder for Dutch Eredivise side Willem II.
He is on loan from English side Leeds United. He has also represented Netherlands at the international level.

3. Danny Rose
Danny is an English professional footballer who plays as a left back for Tottenham Hotspur.
He started his professional career at Leeds United in 2006, having progressed through the club's youth ranks, but left for current club Tottenham Hotspur in July 2007, having never played for Leeds.
4. Felicia Lovette Ofori
Ofori is a Dutch born Ghanaian footballer who plies his trade for VVSB Noordwijkerhout.
5. Joyce Lomalisa
Lomalisa is a Congolese footballer who currently plays as a defender for the Belgian club Royal Excel Mouscron, on loan from the Congolese club AS Vita Club.

He made his first senior international appearance in a friendly against Zambia on 6 November 2015, in which he played the entire match.
