Japan has defeated Ghana 6 goals to nil in an international friendly. The Asians invited the Black Meteors for this game, paid for transportation, feeding and accommodation.
Japan used a U24 team, while Ghana took our U23 team, which is why you will see on some live score websites that this was a U24 game.
It is one the last batch of friendlies the Japanese are playing ahead of hosting the Olympics. Mainly, they chose Ghana because they believe the Meteors' style is closer to South Africa, who are in the same group as the Japanese.
In short, the score line reflected the game. Japan were better by a distance, and deserved this win.
What next? The two teams will play again on Wednesday, June 9. Same venue.

The Tema Motorway has recorded yet another vehicular accident. This time, a fuel tanker colliding over the slipper road together with a tipper truck filled with sand.
No fatalities have been recorded yet. The accident caused massive traffic along the motorway for hours. Police, the fire service and toll trucks were later on the scene to clear the trucks off the street, quench possible fires from the fuel tanker and ease traffic along the stretch.
A similar accident happened on Friday, June 4, which resulted in the death of a passenger after a tipper truck rammed into a trotro bus on the motor way. The death of the passenger was blamed on the delay of the ambulance service.
