Manchester United have confirmed Jadon Sancho's loan move to Chelsea hours after deadline day.

The winger left on a son-long load deal, but the London club have an obligation to buy him on a permanent transfer for around £25 million.

In his introductory interview with the club, the 24-year-old appeared to aim a jibe at Man United boss Erik ten Hag.

The winger and the Dutch tactician publically fell out early last season, which resulted in the player being exiled from the squad.

He played at Borussia Dortmund for the second half of the season, including the Champions League final.

This summer, he went on the pre-season tour with the Red Devils and played in the Community Shield against Manchester City.

However, he was absent in the first two Premier League games of the campaign, a sign that his time at the club was over. He was strongly linked with a move to Juventus, but a deal never materialised.

Did Sancho take a swipe at Ten Hag?

In his first interview as a Chelsea player, Sancho said Enzo Maresca attracted him to the club because of his past connections with Pep Guardiola.

"I think it’s the manager who really drew me to the project," he said. ‘They’re signing me for a reason and to contribute to the team, and I’m ready to do that. I enjoy his style of play. The wingers when they get on the ball, he loves them to go one versus one and be direct."

The winger also said two Chelsea legends were his idols growing up.

"Chelsea is iconic. My idols growing up were Didier Drogba and Frank Lampard and now I have the opportunity to play for this club like them. It’s a great feeling."

The Blues face Crystal Palace on Sunday, and it is unlikely that he will be involved at Stamford Bridge.

Erik ten Hag's warning to Sancho

YEN.com.gh earlier reported that Erik ten Hag fired a warning to Sancho before their clash against Brighton.

The former Ajax boss highlighted the importance of attitude of players, saying they have to stay motivated.
