According to a club statement, the deal is an initial loan with Chelsea obligated to make it permanent next season. He will wear number 19.

Sancho's message to Manchester United

Sancho took to his social media to bid goodbye to the Red Devils faithful and introduce himself to his new fanbase.

"Thank you to all the fans, staff and teammates at Manchester United. Wishing everyone all the best in the future."

A section of Manchester United fans took exception with this message, calling out the winger for 'never having the club at heart.'

Manchester United fans criticise Sancho

The fans argued that the 24-year-old wasted no time in pulling down every Manchester United-related picture from his Instagram but left the ones from his Borussia Dortmund days. Similarly, his message to Dortmund fans after a six-month loan in Germany was way longer and more sentimental than what he posted after leaving United.
