Manchester United Legend David Beckham Comments on State of His Former Club

Manchester United found themselves out of the Champions League following another dreadful Premier League season.

The club are yet to win the competition since 2008 and are also waiting for their first league title since 2013.

Club legend David Beckham has weighed in on the club's decline since Sir Alex Ferguson's retirement.

The 20-time English champions finished eighth last season, their worst finish in the Premier League era.

In an appearance on CBS Sports, Beckham was asked if it hurts not to see his former club in the Champions League.

“It’s a little bit painful not seeing United, but they’re going through something, we’re too big too big to not to be back on this stage, he said via Sportbible. “So at some point, we have to be.”
