The report adds that the Blues trust the 26-year-old and believe he has room to improve. Blues boss Enzo Maresca has shown his trust by playing him every minute of the Premier League this season.

Moreover, Chelsea believes Sanchez can improve his performance, especially by playing from the back, to fit into Maresca's style. Filip Jorgensen has played in Europe and the League Cup.

Sanchez joined Chelsea in 2023 and made 16 league appearances last season, per Transfermarkt.

"If Robert makes a mistake, it’s not Robert’s problem, it’s my mistake because I asked that from Robert. I am very happy with Robert and the way he is playing, building from the back," Maresca said via Metro Sports.
