Amorim rejects his chant

Speaking ahead of his team's clash against Arsenal, Amorim explained why he dislikes his chant from fans.

Red Devils fans chanted his name to the tune of "Baby Give It Up" by KC and the Sunshine band. The Portuguese coach asked the fans to chant for the players instead.

"I don’t like my chant," Amorim said via Manchester Evening News. "I don’t like it. I feel a little bit, not embarrassed, but because I’m the coach, they have to chant for the players and for the club. So it's not a good thing for me."
"I understand and really appreciate the connection with the supporters but I want them to support the team and the players because they are on the pitch and I'm outside the pitch."

Amorim will need their travelling fans to chant at the Emirates Stadium when they play Arsenal. They haven't beaten the Gunners at the stadium since 2017 in the Premier League.
