Chelsea defender Reece James has sent a touching message to Manchester United star Mason Mount after he suffered another injury.
The midfielder went off early in the Manchester derby last weekend, which is another setback for the former Blues star.
James has also had the same poor luck with injuries in recent times.
James' message to Mount
Mount was forced off in the Manchester derby after just 14 minutes, and Man United boss Ruben Amorim later said he will be out for a while with a leg injury.
The midfielder, who joined the Red Devils from Chelsea in 2023, was making his fourth Premier League start this season. He started five games in his debut season at Old Trafford, per BBC Sport.
Mount shared a heartfelt message on his Instagram after the injury was confirmed.
"Words can't portray how devastated I'm feeling right now, you could probably see the look on my face when it happened. I knew what it meant."
"United fans, you may not know me too well yet, but one thing I can guarantee, I will never give up or lose faith."
James responded to his former teammate with a touching message. The England star has also been faced with injury problems for most of his career.
"Not many people understand what you’re going through but I have lived your disappointment after disappointment after disappointment. It's real tough and lonely man! Speedy recovery and stay strong brother! I have no doubts you’ll be back to your best." James wrote on his Instagram story.
James has made four appearances this season, while Mount has made 12.
