Destiny, still just 11, is quickly becoming one of La Masia’s deadliest forwards and is widely seen as a youngster who could trace the path of Lamine Yamal at Barcelona.
Born in 2014 and of Nigerian nationality, Kosiso’s meteoric rise has captured the attention of Spanish and international media alike, as noted by Wora Mangra.
Reports about his numbers are almost unbelievable for a player so young. Multiple outlets suggest he netted 84 to 87 goals in just 22 matches, with others extending the tally across different tournaments to nearly 100 goals in a single season.
According to popular Barcelona fan page Barca Times, which boasts over a million followers on X, Kosiso has netted an incredible 145 goals in just 52 appearances in 7v7 matches.
Destiny Kosiso has developed a reputation for ruthless finishing and breathtaking consistency, as many tip him to reach greater heights.
Despite his young age, Kosiso is said to be playing above his age group, often featuring with older boys in the Sub-12 category.
His intelligence, composure in front of goal, and ability to find space inside the box have drawn comparisons to early profiles of La Masia graduates who went on to reach the very top.
Destiny Kosiso: The next jewel of La Masia?
Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo recently profiled Kosiso, describing him as one of the brightest prospects in the Barcelona system today.
Nigerian outlets, meanwhile, have celebrated his progress as a source of national pride, viewing him as part of a new wave of African talents breaking into Europe’s most competitive academies.
While his journey is still in its infancy, there is little doubt that Destiny Kosiso is a name Barcelona fans — and football lovers worldwide — will want to remember.
If his goalscoring instincts continue to flourish, he could soon become the latest La Masia gem to make the leap from academy prodigy to global star.
