Following his public fallout with Ruben Amorim shortly after the manager arrived at Old Trafford last November, Rashford’s departure always seemed inevitable.

He went on to secure his dream move to Barcelona on loan, and it’s been a dream start too, as his brace sealed a Champions League win over Newcastle on Thursday night.

Rashford, expected to excel at Barca, opened the scoring in the 57th minute with a neat header from Jules Kounde’s clever chip.

Ten minutes later, he doubled his tally with a stunning finish that left Newcastle goalkeeper Nick Pope with no chance and secured Barcelona’s victory.
