Sulemana’s clinical effort demonstrated the technical quality and sharp decision-making that convinced Atalanta to secure his signing from Southampton in July 2025.

The 23-year-old's potential has been evident, and he is quickly showing why the club made him a centrepiece of their summer rebuild.

Despite Atalanta’s strong start, Juventus hit back when Juan Cabal netted an equaliser, ensuring the spoils were shared, per Ghanasoccernet.

The visitors were forced to dig deep after captain Marten de Roon’s dismissal left them with ten men in the closing stages, but their resilience preserved both the point and their unbeaten record.

The goal capped off a breakthrough week for Sulemana, who had already dazzled in Atalanta’s 3-0 triumph over Torino, where he registered a goal and an assist, his first contributions for his new club.

In just two appearances, he has directly influenced three goals, immediately establishing himself as a vital weapon in Ivan Jurić’s attacking setup.

Sulemana’s swift adaptation to Italian football has been aided by his familiarity with Jurić’s tactical approach.

As reported by 3Sports, the pair worked together at Southampton, where Sulemana featured 30 times under the coach, contributing two goals and three assists.

That existing connection has allowed him to slot seamlessly into Atalanta’s system, with Jurić himself praising his “great game” against Torino.

Now firmly one of Atalanta’s standout performers, Sulemana’s form is proving decisive in maintaining their strong league start.
