“Police Corporal Kamidu extorts GhC 200 from us before taking any matter to the Nima Police Division. He says he has his own judge at the drivers’ court, therefore when you are sent there you’re forced by the judge to pay GHc1, 200,” the PRO alleged.
Yaw Barima stressed that they have petitioned the Police Intelligence and Professional Standards (PIPS), about the conduct of the police officer for disciplinary action but nothing has been done.
The drivers are therefore demanding the Inspector General of Police (IGP) to take action against the corrupt Nima police officer.
