Kwame Sefa Kayi almost killed my passion for music – Nana Boroo

Ghanaian hiplife artiste, Nana Osei Bonsu, aka Nana Boroo, has revealed that two top Ghanaian media personalities almost killed his passion for hiplife music.

According to the artiste, he got discouraged and almost dumped what became his biggest hit song ever in his music career.

Speaking to Kasapa FM on Thursday, Nana Boroo disclosed that top Peace FM broadcasters Kwame Sefa Kayi and Kofi Kum Bilson rubbished his ‘Ahayede oo’ hit song after listening to the demo.

This he said dumpened his spirit and got him heartbroken, but he was encouraged by music producer, Killbeatz to release the song.

The song which later became a banger, topped music charts on major Ghanaian radio stations for months.

“Before releasing the song, I showed it to some top radio personalities including Kwame Sefa Kayi and Kofi Kum Bilson. But the response I got what kind of ‘foolish’ song is this?", Nana Boroo narrated.

Nana Boroo added kind words from Killbeatz inspired him to release ‘Ahayede ooo’ which later became hit song and won him the ‘Most Popular Song of the Year at the Ghana Music Awards in 2011.

The Tema-based artiste in 2010 took Ghana music by storm with his ‘Ahayede ooo’ song which featured SK Blinks.
