‘Obinim is possessed’ – Kenyan-based pastor exposes 'fake' Obinim’s miracles

YEN.com.gh has sighted a video of Kenya-based Ghanaian prophet, Dennis Whole Asante claiming that Bishop Daniel Obinim of the International Godsway Chapel (IGWC) is fake.

In the video, Prophet Asante who is the senior prophet and pastor of the Great Unction Worldwide Church Chapel, 'exposed' how all those miracles Bishop Obinim has been performing come about.

According to Prophet Asante, Bishop Obinim is possessed by an evil spirit and he only uses devilish strategies to deceive people.

The video has the Kenyan-based prophet recounting how he and Bishop Obinim used to be friends in his early in an obvious bid to prove that he really knows Obinim.

I know Obinim in Kumasi Asewase. I have slept in the same room with him, prayed with him. We know ourselves very well, and his wife too. I know the genesis of his ministry. I know his spiritual father. Obinim was a genuine pastor when I knew him. He was humble and full of humility,” he said.

Later, Prophet Asante played some videos of Obinim performing some miracles and drew out the deception in them claiming a supposed angel does not do such things. He based most of his claims on the scriptures

Bishop Obinim is known for his unconventional methods of conducting church services and performing miracles.

He has been in the news for performing one miracle or the other and was even 'mocked' on a US TV station over his claim of increasing the size of people's reproductive organs by merely touching them.

Bishop Obinim once asked his congregants to bring their underwear to be burnt in the church as part of a spiritual direction.

Not long ago, a video of him miraculously pulling a passport from a church member’s shoe hit the internet and there has been a lot talk about his 'miraculous stickers' which trended so much that former President John Mahama used it to mock President Nana Akufo-Addo.

He also recently came in the news for claiming to have delivered a lady, who said she had slept with over 9000 men from in the last seven years, from prostitution.

But all these 'wonderful' works, if we are to believe Prophet Asante, are performed not through the spirit of God.

Prophet Asante, may be relatively unknown to many Ghanaians, but he was quite popular in the run up to the 2016 general elections.

He predicted a win for former President John Mahama and even went ahead to declare that he will burn his Bible if his prophecy did not come to pass.
