My mother cried when she saw me as a drunkard on TV – Koo Fori

- Ghanaian actor, Koo Fori, has disclosed how mis mother broke down in tears when she saw him 'drunk' in a TV programme

- According to him, he explained it was all acting when he returned home

Ghanaian actor, Koof Fori, has revealed how distraught his mother became when she saw him acting in his first movie.

According to a report by GHIssues.com, he first appeared as a drunkard in the popular 90’s TV drama, Cantata.

Interacting with Abeiku Santana on the ‘Atuu’ show, he stated that upon her return from church one Sunday afternoon in the company of her friends, she saw him acting drunk on TV and promptly burst into tears.

She was about to pass a comment about the person who appeared drunk in the programme only to realize that it was her son.

“You know, my mother is uneducated, so at the time, her first impression was, that I was actually drunk.

Coming from a typically Christian home, it shook her to the core. She was heartbroken at the sight of me ‘drunk’ in the eyes of the entire nation so wept bitterly”, he recalled.

Koo Fori went on to say that he explained everything to her when he went home, and it was then that she realized it was all acting.
