I will do everything possible to make John Mahama NDC’s flagbearer – Kofi Adams

- The National Organizer of the NDC, Kofi Adams, has expressed his readiness to do everything to make sure that John Mahama is selected as the party's flagbearer

- He stated that he will not vote for any other candidate in the party's December 2018 elections for a flagbearer

- The party will hold its elections for a flagbearer in December 2018

The National Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has hinted of plans in place to ensure that Former President John Mahama is selected as the flagbearer of the party.

Speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen, on Wednesday, August 22, 2018, Kofi Adams vowed to do all he can to make sure that Mahama leads the party into the 2020 elections.

According to him, he will not vote for the other persons whose names have popped up as possible flagbearers of the NDC because he believes Mahama is competent and the right person to lead the party.

He went on to say that “I know some people are also in the race, but my focus is on Mahama. I’m going to sacrifice my time and everything to make sure Mahama is on.”

Information available to YEN.com.gh shows that John Mahama has announced his intention to contest for the position of a flagbearer of the party.

He will be joined by other party bigwigs who have announced their interest in the same slot, to lead the party into the 2020 elections.

The 2nd Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Alban Sumana Bagbin, Former CEO of the National Health Insurance Authority, Sylvester Mensah, for Minister of Trade, Dr Ekow Spio-Garbrah, Professor Joshua Alabi, and NDC Communicator Stephen Atubiga have all declared their intentions to contest the race.

Adams however stated that John Mahama is the one who deserves to win the position.

According to him, the party will contest the 2020 elections on the record and achievements of the former president and his inclusion is therefore good for the NDC.

The NDC is set to select its flagbearer for the 2020 elections in December 2018.
