YEN.com.gh earlier reported that father of late Ebony Reigns, Mr. Nana Opoku Kwarteng celebrated his birthday in grand style with some of his family members and friends.
Photos and a video sighted by YEN.com.gh from the event showed a rather lively family who were all beaming with smiles as they celebrated the life of Ebony’s father.
The birthday party was attended by many young ladies presumed to be friends of Foriwaa Opoku Kwarteng, Ebony Reigns’ elder sister.
However, Ebony Reigns, born Priscilla Opoku Kwarteng, was not left out in the celebrations as she appeared in one of the photos taken from the birthday party.
In one photo which saw Ebony’s sister, pose with some of the ladies who joined her to celebrate her dad, a photo of Ebony beaming with smiles was caught by the lens of the camera.
Even though it appeared to be coincidental, Ebony, who was ‘hanging on the wall’, appeared to have been smiling just like all the ladies who were in the birthday photo.
Foriwaa Opoku Kwarteng also took social media by storm after some photos from her surprise birthday party found their way into public space.
Mr. Nana Opoku Kwarteng was seen having some salad as he celebrated his birthday with close relatives and friends.
The people gathered in the room later sang the famous ‘Birthday Song’ for the father of the late singer who was affectionately called Kwabony.
Mr. Nana Opoku Kwarteng, who was overwhelmed by the love ended up fumbling when he was asked to disclose his new age.
A voice in the background, presumed to be that of Foriwaa Opoku Kwarteng, warned her father not to lie about his age but mention it to the hearing of all those gathered.
Father of late Ebony Reigns and her former manager, Ricky Nana Agyeman, known in media circles as Bullet, have been at ‘each other’s throats’ following the burial of the singer.
Their heated exchanges started some few days after the death of the singer through a fatal car crash on the Sunyani road.
In a quite recent accusation, father of the ‘Poison’ singer revealed that Bullet gave him only GHC 2,000 out of the GHC 39,999 profit made from the concert organized in his daughter’s name
Mr. Nana Opoku Kwarteng said all he wanted was for there to be accountability and that he was not interested in making money off his late daughter because he had made his own money.
