- Pastor Chris’ daughter, Sharon Oyakhilome, has reportedly held a second wedding
- This is to honour her mother who was reportedly “banned” by the father from attending Sharon’s first wedding
- Sharon and her Ghanaian husband, Philip Frempong, had this second wedding in the UK
YEN.com.gh earlier published the report of Pastor Chris’ daughter, Sharon Oyakhilome’s wedding with her Ghanaian husband, Philip Frimpong.
New information gathered on Sharon’s social media page indicate that she has had a second wedding with her husband.
In a move that is probably fit for the Guinness World Book of Records, Sharon and her husband have held two different white wedding ceremonies in one month.
This is reportedly due to the fact that the parents of the bride, Chris and Anita Oyakhilome, are sour divorcees.
While Pastor Chris was noticeably present at their daughter’s traditional and white wedding ceremony in Nigeria, his ex-wife, Anita, was also noticeably absent.
The action sparked reactions from Nigerians and even top gospel singers like Nathaniel Bassey online, according to a report sighted by YEN.com.gh on Ghanaweb.com.
Therefore, in order to honour her mum who was reportedly banned by her father from showing up at the Nigeria royal wedding, Sharon has held a second wedding reception in the UK and this time, her father, Pastor Oyakhilome, was absent.
The young couple Sharon and Phillip Frempong whose love story has moved many to tears shared their vows in the presence of her mother Anita, and had a reception with her and her private invited guests over the weekend, according to the report.
Sharon has shared photos from the recent wedding on her page while tactfully disabling the comments to avoid trolls and questions.
The young couple has revealed its preparedness to make their marriage work at all costs despite the bride’s parents being divorced.
“We are going to show the world and set a standard and inspire others not by words but by action that it is possible to have a beautiful marriage and how beautiful it is to have God in a marriage,” the couple said.
