Black Stars player Mubarak Wakaso mocked over fake Dolce & Gabbana sweatsuit

Ghanaian international and Alaves utility player, Mubarak Wakaso, has been the subject of unforgiving mockery on social media for wearing a fake Dolce & Gabbana sweatsuit. The footballer has so far deleted the photo from his Twitter timeline.

On Saturday, December 29, 2018, Wakaso posted the photo on his Twitter with a caption pointing to the fact that he was returning to his club after the holidays. He was on a airplane.

Not sooner had he posted the photo than his social media followers pointed out that there was something wrong with his designer wear.

Instead of Gabbana, the player's sweatsuit had "Gababna". Twitter in its merciless fashion made the photo viral and opened the Black Stars player to jokes and memes.

Wakaso has been in Ghana for the holidays as the Spanish top-flight is on break. His team, Alaves are enjoying a good season so far but such good luck was not on Wakaso's side when he posted the photo of himself returning to camp.

Comedia DKB led the way with his submission on Twitter saying while re-posting the photo: "When your people have called you Maubarak Wakaso aka Alhaji BABANA for so long it starts to mess with your fashion sense!"

Another Twitter user played with the fashion malfunction like it was a subject of controversy in a football game.
