I left my first husband because I was a star - Maame Dokono "cries" about love life

Legendary Ghanaian actress, Grace Omaboe, known popularly as Maame Dokono, has said that her biggest regret so far was leaving her first husband.

The veteran actress and presenter was speaking in an interview earlier on what her intentions are for the new year.

According to Omaboe, her star and celebrity status at that time got into her head. She felt it was unnecessary to submit herself to her husband.

According to Theindependentghana.com, Maame Dokono said she also shirked her responsibilities as a mother.

She is quoted as saying: “I was Maame Dokono by then. I made myself like a big woman and the family of my first husband did not like it. It was a family issue and I left. However, I’ve regretted leaving my first husband.”

The actress said that for her second marriage, she fell for her husband's looks and money. The marriage turned out to be a bad decision because the man had a bad attitude.

Omaboe used the opportunity to advise female celebrities to drop off their high horses and grab the best men without a focus on their money and looks.

She mentioned that most of the things women in the entertainment industry tend to fall for could be deceptive.
