Executive Chairman of US Group of Companies arrested for fraud

- A popular business executive, Chief Godfred Medicine, has been arraigned before a High Court on charges of fraud

- He allegedly took millions of dollars from several clients and went into hiding

- His clients included politicians, musicians and pensioners

The Executive Chairman of the Shepherd (US) Group of Companies, Chief Godfred Medicine, has been arrested for fraud, YEN.com.gh can report.

According to Peacefmonline.com, a civil case was filed at the High Court by some of the plaintiffs to summon him to court.

Chief Medicine has been accused of financial misappropriation by his clients, who have since made demands for refund of their investments, after investing in his US Tilapia Farm.

He has allegedly embezzled millions of Ghana cedis invested by customers of the company.

The business was intended to provide increased investments to clients but Chief Medicine vanished into thin air after taking monies from clients.

Reports suggest that his clients include ministers of state, parliamentarians, businessmen, actors, musicians, farmers and pensioners.

He is reported to have vanished and has been on the run until he was picked up by the police.

Chief Medicine has been arraigned before the Kumasi High Court and has been tried on civil charges.
