10-yr-challenge: CPP’s Ivor Greenstreet stirs emotions with photo of him walking

Perhaps, the most touching and inspiring of all the photos which have been shared in the ’10-year-challenge’ trend as seen by YEN.com.gh is that of Ivor Greenstreet, a former presidential candidate of the CPP.

Ivor, who is currently bound to a wheelchair, shared a photo he took 10 years ago walking proudly as a lawyer, together with a photo of him sitting in a wheelchair as his present condition.

He wrote a touching caption along with the photo and this has got some Ghanaians to react rather sadly to his post both on Facebook and Instagram.

Ivor wrote: “The Almighty God has been good to me too. #10yearchallenge It ain’t how hard u fall that counts, but how u get up. #GRIT & #GRACE

By writing that it is not how hard one falls but how he gets up that counts, the former CPP presidential candidate seems to be celebrating his own achievements so far since he got bound to a wheelchair years ago.

Some Ghanaians have commented on his post and expressed mixed feelings about it.

John, for instance, said it was humbling on Ivor’s part to participate in the 10-year-challenge trend, adding that his heart was touched:

There are many more of the comments which show how inspired people have been seeing the photos of Ivor which prove that he was not born a disabled man.

According to sources YEN.com.gh spoke with, he had an accident some few years ago which almost left him paralysed.

He was said to be returning from a club he owned at that time when he was involved in a bad accident.

However, the situation was handled by the doctors and by God’s grace as he mentioned in his caption, he was able to move about in a wheelchair.
