5 Ghanaian celebs who took a second chance at marriage

For many moments, it is our celebrities who dedicate their lives to thrilling and giving us joy in our stressed times.

The average celebrity is one that you see always putting on smiles and moving as if everything is truly well with them.

However, in reality, celebs are also humans and they have their own problems, especially when it comes to issues of marriage.

Despite their clout and popularity, many of these celebs still do not find marriage that easy and some even go to the extent of filing for divorce.

Here are five Ghanaian celebs who have married more than once:

1. Kwabena Kwabena

Highlife musician Kwabena Kwabena is known for his good singing attributes. However, not even his successful music career managed to save his previous marriages.

The singer has been married twice but saw both marriages ending on the rocks after just a few years.

Kwabena Kwabena first married a lady called Esther but it did not work out. He then married a second wife Abena Owusuaa, but that too did not turn out to be the best.

Reports suggest he is currently dating his manager, Frema Ashkar, although the musician has vehemently denied the allegations.

2. Gifty Osei

Gospel musician Gifty Osei is another celebrity who has been married more than once.

The award-winning singer used to be married to Prophet Prince Elisha Osei but their over ten-year marriage came to an end in 2017.

In 2018, Gifty Osei again successful tied the knot with politician Hopeson Adorye.

The traditional wedding took place on Friday, 28 December 2018, at a private location in Tema, Accra.

3. Duncan-Williams

Presiding Archbishop and General Overseer of the Action Chapel International, Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams, has also been married more than once.

The preacher was first married to Mama Francisca, who he lived with for about 26 years.

However, the couple later divorced before Duncan-Williams tied the know with current wife Rosa Whitaker some nine years ago.

4. Odartey Lamptey

Ex-footballer Nii Odartey Lamptey has also been married twice after going through a tough period in his life.

The former Black Stars striker found out in 2013 that his three children with his now ex-wife, Gloria, were fathered by another man.

Following several months in and out of court, the couple finally divorced and Odartey Lamptey moved on to marry his current wife, Ruweida Yakubu.

He and his current wife are blessed with two children.

5.  John Mensah

Former Ghana captain John Mensah ended his 10-year marriage with wife Henrietta in the year 2014.

The couple had been married for 10 years, but their marriage began to take a different twist after the footballer’s wife accused him of cheating.

After a court granted their divorce, John Mensah moved on to marry his current wife, Mireille.
