Portia Asare Boateng sparks divorce rumours; says she married out of peer pressure

Kumawood actress Portia Asare Boateng has opened up about her marriage to Rev. Aidoo.

Portia Asare Boateng has sparked divorce rumours by revealing that she was pressured by her friends to get married.

In a video sighted by YEN.com.gh on the Instagram handle of Zionfelix, the actress revealed why she no longer wears her wedding ring.

The Kumawood star said she was forced into the marriage by her family and friends.

Explaining why she no longer wears her wedding ring, Portia said it was just an accessory, so it did not matter if she wore it or not.

When asked by the host if she was still married to her husband, Portia Asare paused for some seconds before saying yes.

The actress also revealed she does not use her husband’s surname like a wife is supposed to do, preferring to be addressed only as Portia Asare Boateng.

Portia, who was one of the main faces in the movie industry, went missing after getting married some years ago.

She tried a comeback a few years ago, but it did not work out too nicely.
