A woman who is secure in her looks has no urge to enhance her body - Mofe-Damijo

- Nollywood actor Richard Mofe-Damijo recently shared a 'fatherly' advice with his fans

- According to him, he has come to see that having material things or looking great physically do not make a person happy

- In proving his point, RMD used Dangote and Michelle Obama as valid point of references

Nollywood actor Richard Mofe-Damjio has come out to give his thought on the recent prevalence of body enhancements and the flaunting of materials possession. He condemned the whole idea of enhancing one's body or accumulating riches for the purpose of obtaining happiness.

According to the veteran actor, weight loss, enlargement of certain body parts, marriage, having kids and the likes cannot make one truly happy. For him, those things one does to reach the peak of happiness actually magnifies one's insecurities.

Hence, one does not need to flaunt riches or have a great physique to feel happy. To make his point, RMD made case studies out of Dangote and Michelle Obama's lifestyle.

Conclusively, the actor said that loving one's self despite flaws and not needing validation from others are actually what brings true happiness. See his post below:

"Having been there and done that, I can tell you for free that weight loss, weight gain... marriage, buying/building your own house, having kids, wearing expensive clothes and shoes cannot make you truly happy. Mostly, the things we do to show others we are beautiful, made, tough and/or connected are things that magnify our insecurities.

"A man who is secure in himself has no urge to flaunt wealth, I’m yet to see Alh. Dangote post a picture of his “machines” or of him “chilling in his private jet”. A woman who is secure in her looks has no urge to go under the knife for enhancement, think Michelle Obama. True happiness comes from knowing who you are (self discovery) and loving yourself, “even though...” Anyone who can live without caring about the validation of others is the one who has found true happiness."

If we are to bring Mofe-Damijo's statement into the Ghanaian contest, one can say all those who have sought the service of Obengfo for liposuction and other beauty procedures are not secured in their body.
