Gospel singer Owoahene Acheampong reported dead

Gospel singer Owoahene Acheampong who is known for his Me Nyame Ye song has reportedly died while undergoing surgery at a hospital.

A budding gospel musician, Owoahene Acheampong, has died, reports sighted by YEN.com.gh have indicated.

According to the reports, Owoahene died Wednesday, September 11, 2019 afternoon after battling an illness.

He died at St. Joseph Hospital, Koforidua while undergoing surgery at the hospital.

Owoahene is said to have been survived by a wife and a two-month-old baby who happens to be his only child.

The deceased is said to have never seen the baby due to his hospitalisation. It is not yet known what ailment he was receiving treatment for.

A Koforidua-based artiste, Owoahene is largely known for his track with Pastor Dennis, titled Me Nyame Ye which was released in 2013.

Meanwhile, a funeral invitation for the late Black Stars striker Junior Agogo has popped up revealing details of the funeral.

The invitation which was earlier published by YEN.com.gh indicates that Agogo will be cremated in London on Friday, September 20, 2019.
