Popular Ghanaian Evangelist Oduro has died, as confirmed by the wife.
Oduro, who preached rather comically, reportedly died at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital in the third week of September 2019.
He was said to have suffered a long illness which he could not battle anymore and gave up the ghost.
In news report sighted by YEN.com.gh, Oduro’s wife has narrated the events leading to her husband’s death.
According to her, Oduro knew he was about to die, regarding the last wishes he made before his death.
She said when Oduro’s sickness worsened and was asked to be transferred from the 37 Military Hospital to Korle Bu, he asked that he be sent home to see his children and grandchildren.
The family, the wife revealed, accepted his request and sent him home.
Now that they were home, Oduro again said he wanted to spend the night with his children in the same room, another wish which was granted.
However, the next day, his ailment worsened and he died shortly after being rushed to Korle Bu.
Oduro would be best remembered for his preaching against those he called false prophets who have “commercialised God’s word”.
He also preached against cheating in marriages and cheating in general.
Oduro also preached against staying in church all time to pray asking for financial breakthrough from God while one does not work with the hands.
At times, he was also seen preaching in commercial vehicles.
Ghanaians are indeed heartbroken and they will miss him.
