Adom Appiah: Meet 15-year-old boy who raised GHC400,000 for homeless children

YEN.com.gh has learned that a 15-year-old Adom Appiah, has raised $70,000 to help support people in need.

Together with his parents, Kofi and Marjorie, they organized book drives for kids and backpack giveaways.

They also served meals to those who were hungry and again, gave out Christmas presents to children whose parents are in prison.

Information available suggests that for three years now, Adom has raised over $70,000 for non-profit groups in his neighbourhood.

This, per a report by adomonline.com, he achieves by organizing annual charity basketball games involving local community leaders, as well as college and professional athletes.

Proceeds from his ventures are used to support people with autism and children who are homeless.

In other news, several unemployed graduate teachers have embarked on a demonstration at the premises of the ministry of education.

On Monday, December 2, 2019, they gathered at the place to voice out their grievances with respect to their inability to secure employment.

One of them declared that they may have no option than to engage in armed robbery if the government fails to provide a solution before the year 2019 comes to an end.

The teachers revealed that the education ministry has failed to fulfill its promise of dealing with their issues.

For that reason, they went on, they will sleep at the ministry till their demands are met.
