From homelessness to CEO; Delay now owner of production company and top businesses (video, photo)

When Deloris Frimpong Manso, better known as Delay first dreamed of starting a business, she had major setbacks while dealing with homelessness.
In spite of the financial challenges, she just kept moving forward.
The entrepreneur, television and radio show host, producer, public speaker and women's advocate, began her broadcasting career as a presenter with Life FM in Nkawkaw in the Eastern Region of Ghana at the age of 17 in 1999.
Delay later moved to Top Radio in 2005 in the capital, Accra, where she worked until 2007 and was later hired by the newly established Oman FM in 2007, where she worked until 2016.

While she was working with Oman FM, Delay started her own television program, the Delay Show in 2008 on TV3.
In 2011, she wrote and produced the household television series, Afia Schwarzenegger.
As the owner of Maxgringo Productions, she introduced television series Cocoa Brown, a story which mirrored her truth.
The prominent Ghanaian on-screen personality has fast become an inspiration despite her early struggle with homelessness.
In a recent post on Instagram, she noted that she is proud of the woman she has become.
''From HOMELESS to CEO!!! I am proud of the woman I am today, because I went through one hell of a time becoming her.'' Delay wrote.
She has been using her past hardships and huge platforms to help others move forward by connecting them to the issues of the deprived.
Delay has not just been about the rhetoric, as the manufacturer of Delay sardines and mackerel, she has provided jobs for the youth to enable them rise from grass to grace.

In a related story, Manhattan’s Loving Arms Soup Kitchen owner, Victor Rivera, who once struggled with homelessness is using his past hardships to help others move forward, by providing free warm meals to the needy in his community.
Resident in Bronx, Rivera, opened the doors of his eatery to welcome the public in with open arms this New Year’s Day, January 1, 2020.
