On Wednesday, May 6, 2020, reports went viral that Accra-based media outfit, Multimedia Group (owners of Joy FM, Joy News, Adom FM, Kasapa FM, Hitz FM, etc) had dismissed 100 workers.

Naa Ashorkor confirmed via her official Instagram handle that her contract with the company had been terminated.
Naa Ashorkor thus becomes the latest top-class personality to be shown the exit at Multimedia.
YEN.com.gh has listed 6 top presenters who were sacked by Multimedia.
1. Naa Ashorkor:
The experienced on-air personality confirmed on Wednesday, May 6, 2020, that her contract with Multimedia had been terminated.
Naa Ashorkor worked with Multimedia for almost two years. She joined Multimedia from GH One TV.
2. Joselyn Dumas:
In 2018, news broke that Dumas' stay at Multimedia had come to an end after joining the media outfit the same year.
There have been conflicting reports regarding her departure.
Some reports indicate that she was sacked while other reports say she resigned.
3. Ohemaa Wojeye:
The renowned female DJ was sacked by Multimedia in 2018 following her comment over the death of Kaba.
According to Ohemaa Woyeje, Kaba died as a result of intense frustration at Multimedia.
Ohemaa Woyeje is now with Angel FM.
4. Afia Pokuaa (Vim Lady):
After over 7 years of service, Afia Pokuaa's long stay at Multimedia came to end in 2019.
The real reason behind her exit was not made public but it is rumoured that she was sacked for making insensitive comments about Kaba's death.
Afia Pokuaa has now joined Despite Media Group.
5. Jerry Mordy:
According to viral reports, Jerry was handed his dismissal letter on May 5, 2020.
Before his sack, Jerry was one of the reporters at Myjoyonline.
6. George Nyavor:
George was also shown the exit on May 5, 2020. He also reported for Myjoyonline.
