Ghanaian who was ignored since 2016 after loose billboard fell on him at Spintex Road dies

- A young Ghanaian man named Patrick Reynolds Yeboah has died 4 years after he was left paralyzed by a billboard that fell on him on the Spintex Road

- The incident happened on April 28, 2016, and Patrick was unable to get any compensation despite countless efforts to get a verdict from the court

- The billboard that fell on Patrick belonged to M Dex Company Limited that, as reports have confirmed, neglected Patrick in his sufferings but repaired the billboard

Patrick Reynolds Yeboah, a gentleman who suffered permanent paralysis after a billboard belonging to M Dex Company Limited fell on him in 2016 has passed on.

According to a report by Graphic.com.gh in 2017, Yeboah was a second-year student of the Zenith University College when the incident occurred on April 28, 2016.

With support from his friends, Yeboah sued the company and asked the Human Rights Division of the High Court to award him GH¢4,500,000.

The amount was for aggravated damages by way of his permanent paralysis, economic loss, loss of opportunities to full participation in life, nervous shock, pain and the injuries he suffered due to the negligence.

However, according to Isaac Kyei Andoh, a Facebook user who mentions he has been in touch with Patrick's acquaintances, the gentleman did not get any form of compensation despite the several appeals on the court.

It is said that Lawyer Francis Sosu, who represented Patrick in court, was given a suspension during the proceedings for some offences and the paralyzed victim was left to his fate.

After four years of excruciating pain and battling for life without any financial compensation, Patrick reportedly gave up the ghost on Monday, September 21, 2020.

In another heartbreaking story, Chris Afelete Tamakloe, one of the young finalists of the Keyboard Idol reality show on Citi TV has passed on from a car crash as reported by Citi FM on the morning of September 23, 2020.

Out of the hundreds of entries that were received, the talented 14-year-old Chris was able to make to the top 10 remaining contestants of the competition before his untimely demise.

Many Ghanaians have flooded social media with heartbreaking comments after learning of the passing of the super-talented young man.
