Hundreds of supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), have massed up at the headquarters of the Electoral Commission (EC) ahead of the declaration of results.
They say they have gone there to ensure that Mahama of the NDC is declared winner of the 2020 polls.
In an interview with TV3's Evelyn Tengmaa as monitored by YEN.com.gh on that TV station, one of the NDC supporters told why they had gathered there.
He said they were waiting on the EC to make a declaration in favour of their preferred presidential candidate, John Mahama.
According to him, Ghanaians voted for Mahama and they will not look on for the EC to subvert that outcome.
He stressed while jubilating that the NDC will not accept anything short of Mahama being pronounced as the winner of the 2020 elections.
A heavy police presence is seen around the area trying to bring the situation under control.
Mahama has warned earlier that the NDC will reject any attempt by the EC to subvert the will of the people.
He also absented himself from a meeting with the National Peace Council called on the leaders of the NDC.
Mahama explained his reason for not taking part in that meeting.
