NDA boss accused of spending thousands of tax payer’s cedis on end of year party

- Claims of funds misuse against the CEO of the National Development Authority has been denied

- Dr. Sulemana Anamzoya has been accused of spending public funds on a party

- The embattled CEO says he is rather committed to seeing Northern Region develop

From the scandal of the Savanna Development Authority (SADA) to a recent claim that the head of the Northern Development Authority (NDA), is diverting public funds to throw a party.

It all started with some young supporters of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) besieged the premises of the NDA, demanding that the CEO should resign. These party loyalists claim he was diverting public funds to throw an end-of-year party.

But speaking to the media, Dr. Anamzoya said the youth were ill informed and that the Authority has never planned to use such an amount for a board meeting. This not the first time youth of a party have attacked the authority.

The authority since its establishment has had youth of political parties locked up the offices and blocked the staff from accessing their offices. Dr Anamzoya urged the youth of the party to always verify whenever they are fed with such untruth about individuals and institutions before acting.

He said the authority has made some huge gains in bringing development to communities in its catchment area and is commitment to increase its developmental agenda this year.

The NDA boss said more schools, roads, clinic among others would be constructed in improve the lives of the rural folks.
