Outgoing United States (US) President Donald Trump's daughter, Ivanka, has plans to attend Democrat Joe Biden's inauguration on January 20, to the chagrin of his father.

According to a report by Daily Mail, Ivanka will attend the ceremony to mark the commencement of Biden's new four-year term as president of the United States, to save her political career.
"Ivanka is worried that her promising political career is in jeopardy and she's doing whatever she can to save her reputation," a source intimated to the publication.
Trump, who has however, refused to accept the outcome of the presidential election where he lost to Biden, was enraged by daughter's decision terming it as "an insult".
The 74-year-old according to an insider rebuked his daughter for wanting to engage with "crooks" who stole his votes.
The source further said Ivanka reportedly believed she would gain more supporters by attending Biden's swearing in as the 46th US president by presenting herself as a "good sport".
Ivanka is an American businesswoman who has been serving as an adviser to her father Trump, and also as the director of the office of economic initiatives and entrepreneurship since 2017.
Trump to break long time tradition
YEN.com.gh had reported Trump would break a long time tradition after he said he won't attend his rival's inauguration.
"To all of those who have asked, I will not be going to the Inauguration on January 20," he tweeted before he was subsequently banned on Twitter for inciting violence.
The outspoken Republican leader still insisted November 3, 2020, General Election was marred with electoral theft and other forms of malpractices which favoured his opponent.
