Congrats to our South African export.
YEN.com.gh had reported that South African comedian and host of The Daily Show, Trevor Noah, has reportedly sold his Los Angeles home for $21.7 million.
Variety.com reported that Trevor had sold his mansion in LA's Bel Air neighbourhood just two years after first purchasing it in 2018.
According to the publication, the house itself is around 10 000 square feet (roughly 900 square metres) and boasted five bedrooms and eight bathrooms.
Variety gave further details on the house, stating that it included:
"...a gourmet kitchen with two islands and a sea of designer appliances, walls of Fleetwood doors that effectively “disappear”, blurring the line between indoors and out, a home theatre, 500-gallon saltwater aquarium, cigar room and pricey Control 4 home automation."
The mansion also comes with an infinity pool that reaches almost 20 metres in length. The property was completed in 2018 and Trevor first purchased it for $20.5 million.
Trevor is mainly based in his $10 million Manhattan apartment in New York City. The comedian relocated to the Big Apple in 2015 and has been a resident ever since.
The TV host had been filming episodes of The Daily Show from his apartment during the Covid-19 pandemic. The apartment itself is a "generously terraced duplex penthouse atop Stella Tower" which is a building that includes:
"...a stunning, terrazzo-floored lobby staffed with uniformed full-time doormen, an on-site gym, media lounge and garden."
