A former defender of Ghanaian Premier League side, Asante Kotoko, Augustine Sefah, is reported to have hung his boots and has been fully initiated as a fetish priest.
In a photo sighted by YEN.com.gh on Ghanaweb, the former Kotoko star player was seen drenched in powder while trapped in white linen and had some herbs hanging around his neck.
Some white beads were seen around his wrist as well.
The photo which has gone viral across all social media platforms has left many wondering why the player opted to go into the business of being a traditionalist.
Reports have it that Augustine Sefah left Asante Kotoko before the start of the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League season.
Augustine Sefah was pictured smiling with some people standing behind him and throwing some money on him over what is believed to have been a successful ceremony.
It is, however, not clear if the picture was photoshopped or the right-back has actually become a fetish priest in his hometown.
Speaking about acts of tradition and fetishism, YEN.com.gh earlier reported that the founder and leader of the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP), Akua Donkor, has said in a recent interview that John Dramani Mahama will never be president of Ghana again.
In a report sighted by YEN.com.gh on pulse.com.gh, Akua Donkor said the National Democratic Congress leader will not be president again because she had cursed the NDC leader for neglecting her.
According to Akua Donkor, she toiled and defended former president Mahama during his tenure as president but the NDC flagbearer abandoned her.
Akua Donkor added that Mr Mahama is also ungrateful after she supported him with all her strength.
“I sacrificed myself to defend John Mahama. I fought hard for him when he was a president but he never appreciated me. He neglected me without appreciating what I did for him,” she is noted as saying in a recent interview she granted in Kumasi.
