- Shatta Wale has jabbed a Ghanaian blogger over a publication made on their website
- The dancehall star called out the website for misinforming the public
- He went on to ask the website to rather be thankful that Popcaan wanted to help the Ghana music industry
Multiple award-winning dancehall star, Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr has taken a blog to the cleaners for making it look like Popcaan was begging him for work.
Shatta Wale was reacting to a write-up made by the blog which had the headline “Popcaan Begs Shatta Wale For A Collaboration” which had gone viral.
To register his displeasure, Shatta Wale took a screenshot of the publication and set the record straight on the whole issue.
According to him, Popcaan never begged him for a feature as was being suggested by the blog but rather, the Jamaican artiste was trying to help push Ghana’s music industry.
Shatta Wale went on to say that some of these publications was the reason he had left Ghana and is currently having fun in the United States of America because such posts may cause him to commit a sin.
The Ayoo hitmaker questioned when Ghanaians would learn and stop taking things and misrepresenting them when they were not the case at all.
He added that the blogger could have done justice to the story by rather thanking Popcaan for throwing the spotlight on Shatta Wale instead of making the Jamaican look bad.
Shatta Wale’s post on Facebook read: “So when will we learn Ghana ..How can you say this to a world star …You won’t even say 'Thank you Popcaan for giving shatta wale a chance to shine' or something better for the world to see that another superstar is giving your own brother a chance. This is the reason I left Ghana cuz these things will one day make me SIN!!! Popcaan never Begged me for a collaboration. He just wants to help our Sad and vicious music industry. Memba ! I am not one of those hype artiste !! #BlowUp#1DON"
Many fans of the dancehall star took to the comment section to react to his concerns.
