President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo on Tuesday, March 30, 2021, swore-in Kenneth Nana Yaw Kuntunkununku Ofori-Atta as Ghana's Finance Minister for his second term.
The beautiful ceremony was held at Jubilee House, the seat of the nation's presidency.
His swearing-in comes five days after he faced the Appointments Committee of Parliament as Minister of Finance designate to be vetted.
He was vetted on Thursday, March 25, 2021 in Parliament.
Fortunately and unfortunately for Ofori-Atta, of all Akufo-Addo's nominees he was the only person who was not able to face the committee earlier due to ill health.
Ofori-Atta was unable to appear before the committee because he was flown out of the country to seek medical attention for treatment of post-COVID-19 complications.
Ofori-Atta returned to Ghana from the United States on Saturday, March 20, 2021
YEN.com.gh gathered that Ofori-Atta was approved by the Appointments Committee of Parliament after successfully going through the vetting process.
Ofori-Atta was approved by consensus after two days of vetting.
He got the votes of both minority and majority members of the committee.
President Akufo-Addo in a post sighted by YEN.com.gh on Facebook stated that the Ghanaian people were expecting him to put the economy on a sound footing once again.
He also added that doing that will help lead it out of the ravages of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Ofori-Atta added that he has never for once taken other financial entitlements and compensations in his capacity as the finance minister.
Ofori Atta made this revelation at his vetting before the Appointments Committee in Parliament on Thursday, March 25, 2021.
