Akuapem Poloo was charged with the publication of nude pictures with her seven-year-old son. She changed her not guilty plea to guilty before being convicted.

Sammy Gyamfi said the three-month handed down to Akuapem Poloo was harsh and high-handed.

According to him, the court should have been considerate since she is a first offender and pleaded guilty to the offence she was charged with.

“The sentence given to @IamAkuapemPoloo is very harsh and high-handed. Given the fact that she is a first offender, pleaded guilty, and showed remorse, a non-custodial sentence would have been appropriate. Sad! I pray@NAkufoAddo remits her sentence or pardons her,” he wrote in a tweet.

Meanwhile, Ghanaian veteran musician, Reggie Rockstone, has taken a swipe at GHOne TV's Serwaa Amihere for speaking against those pleading for actress Rosemond Alade Brown.

In what appeared like a new beef on social media, the two celebrities were seen arguing on divergent lines on the matter that is currently trending online.

Serwaa Amihere expressed her confusion over why some people were still pleading for Akuapem Poloo after she had pleaded guilty to the charges brought against her.

The GHOne TV star's post on Twitter read: “A person is convicted on her OWN PLEA, this means that the person accepts that he or she is wrong. The natural consequence of pleading guilty on your own volition means that you are ready to be punished. How are we asking for this person to be freed….”

Reggie Rockstone, however, did not share Serwaa’s view and took to social media to explain why people were pleading for Akuapem Poloo.
