YEN.com.gh has spotted a rare photo of Bright Appiah, the executive director of Child Rights International, the Non-Governmental Organization in Poloo's case.
According to some reports, Bright Appiah is said to be responsible for calling the authorities to investigate Akuapem Poloo's photo with her son.
Mr Bright Appiah jumped into action after his outfit deemed the photo the actress known in real life as Rosemond Alade Brown posted as an outright infringement on the young boy's rights.
After filing the case, Akuapem Poloo was invited to the Headquarters of the Police Criminal Investigations Department and was subsequently arraigned before the court following preliminary investigations.
Akuapem Poloo took down the photo after coming out to explain the concept behind it and begged the general public to forgive her amid tears.
She was then asked by Child Rights International to render an official apology to the general public for posting a photo.
Poloo's artistic impression explanation did not hold and it got the case to be pushed further to be heard in a court of law.
Authorities at the CRI and social welfare asked the actress to publicly apologise but reports have it that the manager of Akuapem Poloo was rude and stopped her from making such a move.
In a related development, YEN.com.gh earlier reported that Rachel Appoh, a former deputy minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection has said that the manager of actress Akuapem Poloo is to blame for her current predicament.
On Friday, April 16, 2021, Poloo was sentenced to a 90-day jail term after she pleaded guilty to charges of publishing obscene material with two counts of domestic violence over posting a nude photo of her son in 2020.
In a new interview, the former minister stated that the manager of the actress is the cause of her woes because he advised her against apologising, following the uproar about the nude photo she posted.
