Former deputy gender minister, Rachel Appoh, has indicated that TV star Nana Ama McBrown could have been thrown in jail for kissing her daughter, Maxin in public.
She made this known while speaking in an interview with Ghanaian blogger Zionfelix.
According to Rachel Appoh, what McBrown did on her daughter's birthday could be considered as an infringement of rights and it could have led to a legal issue.
Rachel Appoh added that people should not be deceived into thinking that the laws of Ghana do not exist or work just because they were not apprehended.

According to the former Member of Parliament for Gomoa Central, Akuapem Poloo was not aware of the ramifications of her actions that is why she acted the way she did.
She however added that instead of her coming out to render an official public apology, she took counsel from her manager who advised her against taking such a decision.
Madam Rachel Appoh said the gender ministry together with social welfare wanted to quell the matter after the apology only for them to discover that the director of Child Rights International (CRI) had taken the matter to court.
On Friday, April 16, 2021, Akuapem Poloo known in real life as Rosemond Alade Brown was sentenced to 90 days in prison for posting obscene content and infringing upon the rights of her son.
Meanwhile, Ghanaian musician incarcerated in a prison in the United States of America, Showboy, has waded into Akuapem Poloo's conviction and 90-day jail sentence.
In a self-recorded video from his prison cell, Showboy indicated that it was not right for Akuapem Poloo to be jailed because of an obscene photo she posted online.
According to him, if the law wanted to accost anyone, it should be Nana Appiah Mensah popularly known as NAM1 who according to him, had scammed Ghanaians.
