Embattled Ghanaian actress, Akuapem Poloo, also called Rosemond Brown, has landed in Nsawam Prison despite being granted bail on Wednesday, April 21, 2021.
In a new development, the Deputy Public Relations Officer of the Ghana Prisons Service, ASP Samuel Kofi Opoku, confirmed that Akuapem Poloo has been handed over to them and was taken to the Nsawam Female Prison.
This is according to a report sighted by YEN.com.gh on 3news.com.
ASP Kofi Opoku said Poloo was brought to them on Thursday, just a day after she was granted bail.
It seems Poloo would have to spend time in prison while her lawyer follows up on her appeal in court.
She was sentenced to 90 days in jail following a nude photo she shared with her seven-year-old son.
When she shared those photos, many people criticised her and warned her to take down the photos.
However, she hit back hard at her critics, saying that it is her page, it is her body, and so she can post whatever she wants.
Following her court case and subsequent sentencing, Akuapem Poloo keeps gaining international attention over the issue.
Earlier, some celebrities in Nigeria waded into her issue and expressed full support for her.
Actress Tonto Dike, and socialite Mompha, were among those who expressed their support for Akuapem Poloo.
Other Nigerian celebrities have composed a song for her and have massively sung together in a video published by YEN.com.gh.
Meanwhile, in other news, Nana Ama McBrown's daughter, Baby Maxin, has started school as a video of her first day at school has popped up.
In the video sighted by YEN.com.gh, McBrown herself is so happy that her daughter is starting school, and she could not wait to share the details with Ghanaians.
Unlike many children who just cry on their first day in school, especially when their mother is leaving, Maxin did not cry.
