Despite the obstacles that came her way, a young lady with the Twitter name, ghanaian_jawn, has recently bagged her college degree.

In a post sighted on her Twitter page, she disclosed that she faced multiple adversities in her journey to obtaining the degree.

Despite the impediments amid a global pandemic that has affected her school and studies, she persevered.

''It's finally happening! Despite all the obstacles that were thrown in my way, my perseverance pushed me to the finish line,'' she said.

Ghanaian_jawn indicated that she is the first to graduate with a college degree in her family.

''First college graduate in my family! I have set the bar so high! Thank you, God,'' she added.

Earlier, YEN.com.gh reported an international Ghanaian student, Dr Andrew Asante, has earned a Doctor of Pharmacy degree (PharmD) from the University of Florida in the United States.

The native of Nkwakaw in the Eastern Region of Ghana previously bagged a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry, graduating with distinction (4.0) from the Alabama State University in 2017 before heading to Florida to pursue the pharmacy programme.

Asante was able to realise his dream of studying in the US through the help of a childhood friend.

In a separate story, an 87-year-old Ghanaian woman has disclosed that the secret to a long life is abstaining from too much sex.

Recounting her secret to her longevity, working as an entrepreneur, and her faith in God, she advised the youth on how to live a good life and be fit even in old age.

The octogenarian revealed that too much sex will make one grow weak at an early age.
