An 87-year-old Ghanaian woman has disclosed that the secret to a long life is abstaining from too much sex.

Recounting her secret to her longevity, working as an entrepreneur, and her faith in God, she advised the youth on how to live a good life and be fit even in old age.

The octogenarian revealed that too much sex will make one grow weak at an early age.

''In my time, we didn't indulge in many transient sexual relationships. We didn't have too much sex. Be careful about women and too much sex,'' she said on Akoma TV.

The aged woman who claims that she is fit also attributed her long existence on earth to her faith in God.

She also talked about her life in Ivory Coast, Nigeria, and living in Ghana under the Rawlings regime.

Meanwhile, YEN.com.gh earlier reported an international Ghanaian student, Dr Andrew Asante, has earned a Doctor of Pharmacy degree (PharmD) from the University of Florida in the United States.

The native of Nkwakaw in the Eastern Region of Ghana previously bagged a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry, graduating with distinction (4.0) from the Alabama State University in 2017 before heading to Florida to pursue the pharmacy programme.

Asante was able to realise his dream of studying in the US through the help of a childhood friend.
