'Amazing to Find True Love': High School Sweethearts Share Photos, Many React

Pictures that have surfaced of a lovely interracial couple are taking Mzansi social media by storm as throngs of users feast their eyes on the beautiful union.

A Twitter user, @odedanilo shared a series of pictures showing the pair as teenagers in high school, into early adulthood, and later at their wedding ceremony surrounded by relatives on both sides. The caption read:

The pictures showing the progression of the couple's relationship warmed the hearts of many Twitter users but there were notably others that projected an air of negativity in the remarks they made.

While the country is diverse in terms of its racial make-up, notably black and white South Africans, interracial dating remains taboo on some fronts.

Some quarters have been known to frown on the pairing up of black and white heterosexual couples despite the trend growing in popularity over the course of many years.

This could also be deduced in the array of Twitter comments which flooded the post. It received more than 10 000 likes in less than four hours.

Woman toasts to committed relationship of 17 years with hubby, Mzansi inspired

In other news that gave Mzansi the feels, YEN News reported that a woman became the toast of social media after she raised a glass to her beautiful relationship of 17 years, 11 of which she has been married to her husband.

Taking to Twitter, @mabasa_bulelwa shared a heartwarming dedication about Mr Right, showering him with sweet sentiments much to the admiration of other users of the microblogging and social networking service.
